PEMBERDAYAAN KELOMPOK TANI JAYA MAKMUR MELALUI DEMPLOT BUDIDAYA MANGGIS SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN PRODUKTIVITAS DAN KESEJAHTERAAN PETANI DI DESA LUHUR JAYA, KECAMATAN CIPANAS

Abstract

Luhur Jaya Village has great potential for mangosteen cultivation, but productivity remains low due to traditional farming practices and limited access to modern agricultural technology. A farmer empowerment program was implemented through the establishment of a demonstration plot to train sustainable intensive mangosteen cultivation. The methods included lectures, group discussions, hands-on training, and simulations of environmentally friendly agricultural technologies. As a result, farmers’ understanding increased by 48%, and productivity rose by 25–30%. The ±1,000 m² plot served as a learning center, promoting the use of organic fertilizers, integrated pest management, and post-harvest processing such as juice and mangosteen peel extract. This program proved effective in enhancing farmers' capacity and supporting sustainable agricultural development at the village level
