SOSIALISASI PENANGANAN DAN PENCEGAHAN KEKERASAN TERHADAP ANAK DI DESA NARIMBANG MULYA, KECAMATAN RANGKASBITUNG

Abstract

Violence against children remains a serious issue in Narimbang Mulya Village, Rangkasbitung Subdistrict, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Based on initial observations, many community members do not yet understand the definition, forms, and impacts of violence against children, resulting in low responsiveness to reported cases. The aim of this community service is to increase public awareness through socialization on the handling and prevention of child violence. The methods employed include lectures, group discussions, and applied science and technology simulations in the form of role-plays depicting real-life situations. The results showed an increased understanding among participants regarding children's rights and reporting mechanisms in cases of violence. Active participation from village officials, religious leaders, and the PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) became key factors contributing to the program’s success. Outputs in the form of educational modules and the establishment of a child-rights-awareness group are set to serve as a foundation for sustainable prevention of violence in the area.
