Abstract

This Community Service Program under the Appropriate Technology Implementation Service (PPTTG) scheme aims to improve managerial capacity in the planning and management of small businesses for the community in Kembangan Utara Subdistrict, West Jakarta. Most residents in the area still rely on small-scale businesses and informal trade sectors; however, limited utilization of technology and weak business management systems remain key obstacles to sustainable business development. The program focuses on business management, specifically on how to plan and manage small enterprises effectively while enhancing their competitiveness. The proposed solution includes the optimization of simple production tools to increase efficiency. The community service activities were carried out through counseling sessions, accompanied by practical training in business plan development by the participants. The service beneficiaries were the residents of Kembangan Utara, West Jakarta, with a total of 40 participants. The achievement of this program can be observed through the business plan concepts developed by each group. At the beginning of the activity, many participants asked questions—indicating they had not yet fully mastered how to properly draft a business plan. After the counseling sessions, participants were able to develop well-structured business plans, with 80% of the participants producing satisfactory results.
