Abstract

The reading interest of students at SDN 1 Leuwidamar is still relatively low, primarily due to limited access to reading materials and a lack of community awareness regarding the importance of reading. The objective of this community service program is to enhance students’ reading interest through various socialization strategies that involve the local education office and the regional library agency. The implementation methods include lectures, discussions, visits from the mobile library unit of the Lebak Regency Library and Archives Office, and the application of digital reading materials as an ipteks (science and technology) simulation. The results indicate an increase in student enthusiasm in participating in reading activities, as well as a 60% rise in visits to the mobile library during the program period. Active participation from teachers, the school principal, and library staff played a key role in the program’s success
