Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of auditory stimulation through music on the study focus of first-semester university students. Utilizing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design, a total of 60 students were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test on students’ learning focus. The analysis revealed a significant difference between the two groups, with those exposed to music during study sessions showing notable improvement in concentration. These findings support the notion that music can serve as a cognitive stimulus that helps students maintain attention during learning activities. Therefore, auditory stimulation through music can be considered a supportive strategy in the learning process, particularly for students in the early stages of higher education
