Abstract

Sawdust waste is usually thrown away, where there is no added value. This is why a mentoring program is held to utilize sawdust waste to make particle board raw materials for making furniture using a simple press. A hydraulic press can help make particle board raw materials with a size of 30x20 cm and a thickness of 1.2 cm. This mentoring activity aims to utilize sawdust waste into raw board materials that can be used to make valuable furniture products to increase the economic value of waste that has no value. This waste utilization mentoring uses several methods. The implementation method includes making manual press molds, producing particle board from sawdust waste, socializing the process to owners, and documenting the product results. The results of this mentoring show that MSME owners gain knowledge that sawdust can be processed into particle board raw materials to make other furniture from sawdust.
