PERAN PENDIDIKAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI CALON PEKERJA MIGRAN INDONESIA EVALUASI PROGRAM PELINDUNGAN DI UPT BP2MI SERANG BANTEN

This study explores the role of education in improving the competence of Indonesian migrant workers through protection programs implemented at UPT BP2MI Serang, Banten. The findings show that the education and training provided positively impact workers' readiness, especially in technical and social skills for working abroad. However, gaps in the relevance of training materials were identified, with many participants desiring content tailored to the specific conditions of their destination countries. The study recommends updating the curriculum to meet global labor market demands, extending training duration, and adding modules focused on psychological and social skills. This research supports Human Capital Theory, emphasizing education's role in enhancing migrant workers' productivity.
