Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Serang, focusing on the challenges faced by teachers in its application. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that infrastructure and technology limitations, teacher readiness, and paradigm shifts in teaching are the main challenges. Despite training such as In House Training (IHT), teachers still feel unprepared to adopt a more flexible, student-centered approach. The study suggests that the government and schools improve investments in educational infrastructure, provide continuous training for teachers, and enhance parental involvement to support curriculum changes. These findings are expected to contribute to the effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation in schools
