Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of environmental policies at the local level, specifically focusing on the case of Lebak Regency, in the context of public administration. The research identifies key challenges in policy implementation, including limited human resources, inadequate coordination among agencies, and weak enforcement of regulations. The findings highlight the crucial role of public administration in ensuring effective policy implementation and emphasize the need for improving coordination and enforcement mechanisms. The study strengthens existing theories on policy implementation and administration, particularly the importance of administrative capacity and inter-agency collaboration. Based on the findings, recommendations are provided to enhance the effectiveness of environmental policy in Lebak Regency, including increasing human resource capacity, strengthening legal enforcement, and improving coordination among relevant institutions. This research contributes to the literature on public administration and environmental policy implementation at the local government level.
