MANAJEMEN STRATEGI DINAS PERTANIAN DALAM MENDUKUNG NAWACITA

Abstract

The Nawacita program launched by the President of Indonesia places agriculture as a top priority in building the country from the periphery through the strengthening of rural areas. In this context, the Agricultural Office plays a crucial role in realizing this vision through effective strategic planning and implementation. This study aims to analyze the strategic management carried out by the Agricultural Office in supporting the Nawacita program. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using interviews, observations, and document analysis of the department’s program implementation. The results show that the Agricultural Office has developed community-based strategies such as farmer empowerment, human resource capacity building, and the provision of agricultural infrastructure. However, challenges such as limited funding, a lack of agricultural extension workers, and bureaucratic constraints remain. In conclusion, the strategic management applied by the Agricultural Office is relatively effective in supporting Nawacita, although improvements are needed in inter-sectoral coordination, technological support, and human resource development to achieve sustainable agricultural progress.
