OPTIMALISASI SISTEM RESI GUDANG SEBAGAI STRATEGI BISNIS UNTUK MENGATASI TANTANGAN KEUANGAN PETANI DI KABUPATEN LEBAK

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Warehouse Receipt System (WRS) in addressing the financial challenges faced by farmers in Lebak Regency. The WRS is designed to provide financing by allowing farmers to use stored agricultural commodities as collateral. The findings indicate that while WRS has the potential to improve farmers' access to financing and stabilize commodity prices, its implementation in Lebak faces several challenges. Key issues include farmers' lack of understanding of the system, high operational costs, limited infrastructure, and poor coordination among stakeholders. Despite these challenges, WRS shows positive impacts, particularly in enabling farmers to delay the sale of agricultural products to secure better market prices. The study recommends improvements in education, simplified procedures, infrastructure upgrades, and enhanced coordination to optimize WRS and increase farmer participation
